As a grateful nation commemorated Memorial Day on May 27, 21013, and remembered those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country, nearly 250 guests filled the Intrepid Museum's Howard and Allison Lutnick Theater for the dedication ceremony of 18 Seats of Honor.
Eight seats were dedicated in memory of veterans: Karl Ashley, Jr., Edmund Bradbury, Edward James Broms, Jr., Thomas L. Gibbs, Thomas F. Morrissey, Maxwell L. Page, James Principi, and Robert F. Sicknick. Ten seats were dedicated in honor of service: Four Generations of the Brugman Family (Mathias, Arthur, Dennis, Jason and Rena), Arthur H. Flynn, Jr., William Gronlund, John M. Henry, Sr., W. B. "Lefty" Lewis, Scott H. Mortimer, Joseph D. Murphy, Seth Rosner, Robert E. Tocalino, and the VA-176 Thunderbolts serving on Intrepid from 1966-67.
