Global Tiger Day: A letter to the tiger from WWF-India

On Global Tiger Day 2024, WWF-India presents a heartfelt poem for our national animal. Conceived and composed by our Hope & Harmony Ambassador, Shantanu Moitra, the poem has been penned by lyricist Tanveer Ghazi. Lending their powerful voices to this recital are Indian tennis icon Sania Mirza, UN Environment Goodwill Ambassador Dia Mirza, celebrity chef Ranveer Brar, India's first Chess Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand and composer Shantanu Moitra himself.

We need to share with you, a letter from our hearts
We need to tell you, just how significant you are

We live under the same sky, we are not separate or different
Even if you call out far away, we hear you in our hearts

Walk carefree my friend, cover every inch of every rock, every hill
Leaving behind your footprint on each surface

May the moon continue to glow and the sun keep shining, bright as ever
And may you keep walking, so the wheel of time continues to turn uninterrupted

Greet and meet the seasons as they turn
Walk the grasslands whilst having your tête-à-tête with the sunshine

Sit atop mountain tops and live with the wind
Dive deep into the valleys and immerse in gatherings of trees

Wet your feet in glorious rivers and listen to birdsongs
You are one with nature, submerge and choose your site

Wonderful and heart touching. While this is a attempt to conserve the jungles of India but another hand global projects are crushing more than 10 thousand acres of thriving jungles called Home to many majestic creatures. Hope their homes are saved too. Hope it is brought to light and justice too. They are sharing their home for us yet we think we are the only thing that makes Bharat and Earth.
