How to Fix YouTube Pixelation (Improve Video Quality)

From what I gathered
1. Make sure your settings are set to Upload your videos to Full Quality and not at 1080p in your YouTube settings.
2. Render your videos at 1440p instead of original quality.
3. Hope it works lol.
Idk I even read that YouTube tampers with your video quality depending on the amount of views that video has as well. For instance for views better quality, less views shitty quality. Not sure it’s entirely true.

Thank man. I’ll give this a try. Sounds like the longer wait for rendering in 1440p is worth it, (when you don’t got the best hardware, lol).
I would maybe suggest to make 2 copies. 1 in 1080p for personal playback, and another in 1440p which you use to upload to YouTube, and then delete the file afterwards (only delete if you need every bit of hard drive space).

Side note, I think the viewer might experience slow playback if they don’t have the best internet connection on their device, if they decide to play it in 1440p.

Thanks for the info, I often wondered why my 1080p videos would look horrible when on Youtube despite looking great on my original file. I switched to recording, rendering and uploading in 1440p and while it looks amazing once processed, Youtube most times takes a horrendously long time to process them to that resolution 🙄

Does anyone else have the same problem when they upload a video in 1440p to youtube it automatically downscales it to 1080p so this trick doesn't work and you still get avc? If you know how to upload in higher res than 1080 then if you could tell me how that'd be great
