The "relationship" business also! Great job Christopher. I've been in the business for 25 years as a trainer. Love your videos and this is great info for new SC's.

My advice to anyone looking to get into the car business is find a dealer that will put you in internet or let you have leads. So many people do so much of their shopping or pre shopping online and that's a great way to make appointments. The dealership I went to work for only let's me do lot ups and with the inventory crisis there isn't a lot of lot traffic!

Hi Christopher, Talkiing about buying something you can see. I gave a deposit on an order because I wanted a manual Sentra. She told me 4 to 5 months to get it because of Covid. This would have taken me to June 11th of this year. The garage said they would keep in touch, they did not. So last month I decided to look around and the first garage i visited had my car in the color and options that I wanted so I bought it. Then getting my deposit back was a nightmare because one week later i got an e-mail saying that my car would arrive in 10 days. I'm happy to say everything was resolved.

i never let salesman come with me on drives. I hate that, leave me alone.

So meet and greet, qualify, show what youzz have on the lot based off the qualifications, test drive, if they like what you showed, go over numbers, ask for the sale?

I bash my competition…always….the minute they leave is the first minute they are never coming back.

So the do not sell what you cannot see tip. Is it better to say that “ Oh I have a trade in coming in next week, I think you’ll like it” and it ended up taking more time. Or is it better to not talk with them until the car actually shows up?
Cause what if they were in the market and you never hit them up and they went with another dealer vs if you reached out even though you didn’t have that car there, it could influence their decision

Hey love your videos. I like your adittude towards selling vs some of these rah rah guys still trying to do things with smoke and mirrors. I don't think that bodes well for long term success and repeat customers. I personally find it a turn off and as a customer have left dealerships when approached that way.

I am thinking about getting into sales and have a question regarding the type of dealership that from your experience might be good for someone new. A large mega type dealer or a smaller dealership? I see pros and cons to both but wondered what you think.
