How would you build Alania, Divergent Storm?

The new storm commander from Bloomburrow can really make a splash. The ability to copy your instant and sorcery spells really adds a lot of value to your spell slinger decks.

You cannot change selections for modal spells. Whenever you copy a spell it copies any selections already made, which is why almost every copying card explicitly says you can choose new targets.

Absolute best use is effects that allow you to break timing restriction on your otters and sorceries, as she can trigger on any player’s turn.

My favorite use of this so far was to copy my counter spell and counter my counter so that the storm counter was high enough that I could win with a grapeshot to the face.

I like River’s Rebuke. Hit two players instead of just the one. Also burn spells like Price Of Progress can be nasty against 3+ color decks.

I went a different route with extra turn spells, narsets reversal, quantum misalignment, isochron scepter and jeski’s will etc. deck is a ticking time bomb

my brother just built this deck. i countered a spell of his spell. only for him to copy it and counter my counter, i was outraged and laughing.

I went full burn with x spells that have flexible targets or each opponent effects
-and rummaging treasure draw spells like seize the spoils

It says any value for x remains the same, does that mean any x mana spells keep their x values?
