You should have put a female 3.5 mm jack on the headset
So you can easily replace a broken cable

You have to remember that wireless headphones are often acoustic shitboxes that shouldn't have left production line. The are saved by DSP, but it does not work when you are bypassing whole motherboard.

these type of projects where you use the native pinout of your device to create something cooler are both the easier and coolest ways to do something yourself, they also have less chance of being done wrong

If the headset have any circuit to improve the audio quality, you basically bypass all of those improvements to make it wired.

Also, there are cheap Bluetooth converter that turns your wired headphone into blue tooth,
You can buy them and take out their PCB and fix yours.

I wouldn't want a bluetooth headset, because the sound will be normal, but the microphone will suck. I think bluetooth is good, but not for big audio systems and microphones. (wireless microphones that aren't bluetooth are probably fine, like generic microphones.) And by big audio systems, I mean those giant speakers that cost like 1k and have a all in 1 system.

I think you need some amplification for those drivers.

what you could do to add to that is a capacitor if you have a spare one laying arround it can improve the bass
