Dude if you tap along with the pulse at the beginning and then maintain that throughout the solo he not only comes back in perfectly he also lags the whole thing in a really satisfying way.

The transition lick was super clean tho. Definitely made it easy for them

Love how he takes the tempo with the kick, does a little swap to the right hand to move the kick onto the quarter note triplet and plays the 3 over 2 polyrhythm into the quarter note for his backbeat jam break. Then reverses the process to hit right back into the OG tempo clean 👌🏽
