I woukd actually prefer the first version. The function name clearly states what it is doing, making it more readable.

Why not take it one more step and reduce the entire thing to a list comprehension? No lambda needed

There is not one simple definiton, of what a lambda even is. Somewhere else, Lambdas are functions that are ran on an external server. So stop using that name.

The second time you explain it in this video is much better than the first. But I think you should have stopped by then, it gets repetitive after you have gone over it five times.

So is this like pythons version of a map? I feel like maps do the same thing but are way easier to read. "Lambda" could be literally anything
