Live version of "Rikki, Don't Lose That Number" along with a look at their picture sleeve 45s, albums, cassettes and 8-tracks. Also some trivia. Great song. I don't hold copyright on images or music. Just the assembly of these elements. Created for fun and education.

At a Bard College party in the mid-'60s, student Donald Fagen gave his number to Rikki Ducornet (the pregnant wife of his college professor, Guy Ducornet). On her Wiki page, she states that she never called him.

Jeff Skunk must have been absent for this recording, because I didn't hear any lead guitar solo at all. Interesting and one of their many great songs.

Troybuchanan you're right all right, jeff was playing a solo can just hear fragments though
Live flawed has a great feel. All the best (probably elderly) music fans

Solo is their if you listen closely, nobody put a microphone on the guitar amp. This is awesome though. Lord the 70's I was only eight but loved them crazy.

Great to hear a young Fagen when his voice was strong and had range. Skunk probably had another gig booked, he was about to leave them soon. That could be Hodder doing back up vocals

I always wondered if Rikki was a real person or a fictitious one. Wow! She was real alright and beautiful.

No wonder Donald and Walter didn’t want to keep touring. There was just no way to go out on the road in 1974 and recreate the magic from the studio. There are Steely Dan cover bands now that do a better job with this song live than the actual band did here.
