Thanks to the gift of April Fool's, we have the chance to ask ourselves what might happen had Goku and Chi-Chi had a daughter...named Caulifla? How did this happen in Dragon Ball Z?

What If Caulifla Was Born In Universe 7? In a timeline where Universe 6 and Universe 7 swapped Caulifla and Gohan's lives around, how would the Saiyan cope as the daughter of Goku and Chi-Chi and not from Sadala? Would she be able to adapt to the world of Dragon Ball Z and having Raditz as an uncle? Would she be a good person or just as care-free as her original version? Might she find solace in the form of Piccolo? Let's explore this bizarre story and see if it has anything going for it!

This series slaps. I don't know why people have a bone to pick when what-ifs get "too fanfiction-y" as if all what-ifs aren't fanfiction to begin with! All that matters is that it's a good story.

I don’t know if anyone has said this, but it’s gonna be interesting to see universe 6 Gohan. I’m hoping he takes Cabba’s place in the u6 tournament. Hell, I also wanna see Cabba as the son of Vegeta and have trunks swap over as well

As for the next part, I'm more than sure Caulifla will have to trouble being part of the crew. She'd either confront her mother about it (like Gohan did in the original series) or just sneak into the spaceship with the help of Krilin (him still wanting to be called uncle by the young girl). Tho, her brashness might cause some troubles once on Namek, I think that she'd know from her experience with her uncles' sacrifice when to back down to fight another day

Honestly, the April Fools what-ifs are some of my favorites because of how unique they can be.

That Nappa death is definitely colder than in the main canon tho. At least Vegeta PRETENDED to help Nappa. He just left him to get blasted by the Kamehameha

This Caulifla has Goku's pure warrior spirit and a healthier version of Radditz's Sayian Pride, her potential is insane in this story. Surprised Radditz and Piccolo didn't survive because their power is higher than the Official Timeline plus they both took the blast and Nappa was more worn down when he fired.

This series is just so outstanding. It fits amazingly, flows very smoothly, and if someone didn’t know better, they could think this is how dragon ball Z actually would go. Good on you Masako, great content as always!

Goku being an attentive dad is genuinely wholesome.

Also Kale and Gohan I think would make an interesting sibling pair if/when we get that far.

It'd be REALLY interesting if in this What If, Goku gets more defensive for Caulifla against Chi-Chi. Basically putting his foot down more often and maybe try to help remind Chi-Chi of her old martial arts spirit she lost when she became a mother

Plus this could help Chi-Chi develop a better and more healthy relationship with Caulifla!

Yeah, this version of Nappa's death is a bit colder than the original. He deserves to come back for it.

Well, at least these deaths make more sense than Piccolo’s in the original, where he could’ve *easily* grabbed Gohan and threw him out of the way.

Also... Raditz and Piccolo fighting/arguing/bickering like an old married couple over who should sacrifice himself to save Caulifla, is not something I was expecting to hear. Surprisingly amusing and moving at the same time!
