Gena Rowlands Dead at 94

Gena Rowlands has died. The four-time Emmy Award-winning actress is best known for her role as Allie in ‘The Notebook.’ Her career spanning seven decades also includes roles in films such as ‘A Woman Under the Influence,’ ‘Another Woman’ and ‘Gloria.’ She was 94.

!!! She was a great actress. She made me cry in this 1980 film called Gloria. Very powerful performance and the film is just great, intense and moving. She deserved an oscar for her great performance ! She was badass in it really ! We lost a great one today. Rest peacefully acting genius. She is legendary truly.

Gena Rowlands was one of the greatest leading character actresses of all time, right up there with Bette Davis, Barbara Stanwyck, and Meryl Streep. Gena had a capacity to inhabit her characters right down to the marrow. She was magical on the screen. Obviously, that took a lot of debilitatingly hard work on her part to achieve. Let us all celebrate what she was able to achieve. May her memory be a blessing always.
