The Autel Evo Nano Plus has amazing video quality, especially night footage and photo. It is also capable of excellent photo and a few problems with the RAW files have been progressively ironed out. In this video, I will compare the Nano + to the DJI flagship, the Mavic 3 Pro, in terms of photography

The Nano+ appears to be processing images using high dynamic range. Look at the image on the left at 5:43 (Nano+), it has no water reflection.

Another explanation might be that the images were takes at different dates? Look at the three bushes at ~10 o'clock on the round pool on the left image at 5:43, they appear to be less developed with no flowers in front of them when compared to the image to the right.

If taken at different dates, once can surmise that maybe there were different weather conditions, etc. If so, not a method that will produce accurate comparisons.

When are you going to run comparisons between nano plus and mini 3 pro ? Interested in low light from your perspective

Great comparison, and I cannot wait for Evo Nano+ vs DJI Mini 3 Pro comparison. You are one of the few reviewers online that test in-depth image quality of drones, and particularly photo image quality. So I will be waiting for your review do make a final decision which drone to buy, because for me the photo image quality is the most important factor when buying a drone.

The Nano+ camera is almost as good (some say equal) as the Mavic 3 4/3 main camera, but look at the price!! definately pick the Autel Nano.

Another great comparison video Vic. For sure, the Nano Plus is king of low light. I think comments about the Autel images looking too artificially detailed or over sharp are somewhat exaggerated but then it's subjective. I personally don't think they look too sharp. I would call it detailed impact! As you say, you can always tone things down a bit in post if that's what you want. Will you be testing the DJI Mini 3? It would be a very interesting comparison with the Autel and will probably be the deciding factor for what I end up buying. I think the Autel camera will be the winner but the DJI will win on it's general flying capabilities..

Thank you for your wonderful video!
Also we know that the firmware of the nano+ has been updated several times, has the control interface improved? Has its smart flight mode been added?

As always, excellent comparisons. I like the 'pop' in colors the Nano+ gives but also understand it may not be true to life. Of course it can be de-saturated or certain colors toned down in post. Clearly both cameras are very good and can be used professionally as well as for hobby purposes. My personal dilemma is the poor customer support from Autel these days. I'd really like to get the Nano+ but cannot until I see huge improvement in this from Autel. I understand China is under duress with supply chain issues and lockdowns but hiring some people for support staff, even working from home, is essential. I wish I knew what the systemic inner problem with the company is. I especially appreciate the lack of nanny big brother geofencing the Autel brings to the table. I understand it may not be an issue for some people but it is for me. I don't need my hand held that way.

I'm one of those who think the Nano+ images are a bit over-sharpened. However, that seems to work fine in videos since the images are changing continuously. In still images, where you start to study the details, the sharpening can be distracting. Your top-down images from the N+ seem to over-emphasizing the turquoise colors. Are the RAW files less sharpened or better colors? Otherwise, the Nano+ is amazing, especially considering the size. Thanks for doing this excellent comparison.

As noted ten days ago, appears to be a video made for a free Nano+ (my opinion).

Finally 🙌 all about drone

Thank you for the excellent videos!!!! Personally, DJI Mavic 1, 2 and 3 are superb! It’s all about photography in manual mode. The Nano is sensational indeed. It produces excellent photography as you mentioned. However, DJI’s software and hardware is still superior in my opinion.. but that is probably because I’m so used to their products.

It is obvious that Autel color science, especially for nano & lite, is the best there is at the moment, for those who drone = camera.
They also have an incredible high dynamic range, which is great for those involved in color grading.
FOR THOSE WHO INSIST ON THE "THEORY" OF OVERSHARPENING: Even if we assume that they are right (in my opinion, they confuse detail with sharpening), IT IS BETTER AND EASIER TO ADD BLUR THAN TO ADD SHARPNESS.
Those who are serious about editing understand very well what I mean ...
