4️⃣Apply for your Motor Carrier Authority
5️⃣Get your BOC-3 and UCR

Pay your down payment for insurance close to the 21st day after applying for your authority. You have to wait 21 days from the time you apply for your Authority and you want to make your insurance effective a couple days prior to that to make sure the insurance company has time to process the filings so your MC will be active on the 21st day.

Gone are the days when dispatchers could charge 10%. I charge 6% for Hotshots, dry vans, flatbeds and reefers.

Hi I just watched your video trying to get a idea of what and how and $ that is involved with me having a load shipped for me from a auction house in Pennsylvania to Greenville SC. It's a Kubota BX25DLB, Driveway Fence Gates some 3 point attachments 5 chainsaws, a snow blower and couple other items ari200 lbs like portable bandsaw and hand tools. I was going to have them ship it with them and they quoted me $1370. Then I got the chainsaws and they then changed the quote to just over, $1700 I was wondering if this seems fair I'm am a home owner retired master Plumber and HVAC for over 45 years and have not ever had to get something shipped like this. If you have any suggestions please let me know thanks for the information that you are providing. God Bless Dale

Good info... But, I feel like you left out the ugly truth about the first 90-180 as a new carrier... Your not just negotiating your doing alot of just trying to get a opportunity to get the load... Unless it's TQL, CH Robinson or one of those guys
