Came to this video because I was attempting to wipe out the khans just for fun, never actually bothered with Shady Sands so I didn't know they took Tandi. I mean, I could guess they did something because they're clearly the raiders harassing the town, I just never saw exactly what.

The Khans are especially fun to take out if you've grabbed the explosives from vault 15 and just chuck it at them once enough go through the front door (sadly Ian killed me friendly fire, as he does)

Garl can equip weapons that you trade with him if you decide to buy tandi. I traded him a bunch of flares since I didnt have anything else that was valuable, and then when I came back later for his metal armor he flung every flare I gave him directly at me

During my playthrough When I went to rescue Tandi, The leader thought I was his father and I didn't have any of the requirements you listed to trigger it.

For the last secret you don’t have to have high luck. At character creation name yourself Ghengis khan and just go to the Khan base… The khans will run from you scared and Garls dialogue will be according to what is mentioned in vid. Also you can use this as a way of getting Tandi back too

There is piece of fruit outside the building near the cell where Tandi is not imprisoned.

Hi guy. First i like your work.
I write you coz i think i found an interesting things: i had sucessfully kill Gar hand to hand. Dunno if this because i had 100 more in this stat at this point, or because i have continue to beat him after he surrender (coz i was newbie who don't know how to stop a fight.)
Anyway just after the fight one of guard have say somethings like "Garr is died from his injuries" (i have severely injured him on the eyes too). Anyway i don't have heard of that on the net, i don't know if it's really a rare things or not.
