How wildlife rangers protect animals and the environment

Most of us are familiar with the Amazon Forest’s role in maintaining the world’s rain patterns, storing CO2, and providing a habitat for wildlife.But the Leuser Ecosystem in Sumatra, Indonesia, tends to be known in conservationist circles only, despite being an utterly unique place.

The Leuser Ecosystem is one of the largest stretches of tropical rainforest in Southeast Asia and the last one on earth where the Sumatran elephant, rhino, tiger, sun bear and orangutan live together in the wild.

Wildlife in this part of Indonesia is endangered by illegal poaching activities, logging and unsustainable agricultural practices. Your searches on Ecosia are helping us plant trees here. But they do so much more than that. Through our partners we are also supporting the existence of wildlife patrols tasked with protecting animals.

This is such a great story.. Here you can see that (most) people are not "bad" by taking the rainforest down, they just want to survive... In general the big companies are the main driver of deforestation, so, as also explained in another fantastic video of ecosia, invest your money wisely🌱💸
