Remove these five things from your resume right away
Показать описание
Not every detail about your career belongs on your #resume. Some details, if displayed on your resume, will actually harm your chances of getting hired. Here’s what you need to remove from your resume right now:
1. Photograph
You should not add a picture to your #resume unless you are applying for a role where your physical appearance matters, such as acting or modeling.
2. References
If the employer decides to move your application forward, they will request references later on during the hiring process.
3. Low grades
Don’t mention your GPA on your #resume if it is not above 3.5. Instead, highlight your best academic achievements on your resume.
4. Your salary
Never mention salary information on a #resume. Salary negotiations can wait until after the interview stage.
5. Old jobs
If a job is older than 10-15 years, you shouldn’t mention it on your #resume. If mentioning those jobs, remember to omit dates.
