Met a young man, 22, who came to my home to do roof work. I was so impressed with him. We had a wonderful conversation, at which point I realized how mature, polite, and wise beyond his years he was. He took a few minutes to engage a 70 yr old woman in meaningful, deep conversation. When he walked out the door, I told him his mother raised him well. His response: "I was raised in foster care. I lucked out." Blessed be all the women and men who take in children not their own, who raise and love them into successful adulthood. ❤🙏❤
