I love that M'Baku doesn't blindly follow her. He tests her strength before accepting her as Queen and tells her when she's wrong. He also wisely sees Namor is not just a king but a God King and killing him will start an irreconcilable bloody war between Wakanda and Talokan. Probably why Shuri chose him as king at the end.

For me, THIS scene solidified M’Baku as one of my favourite marvel characters. The pride and respect he has for Shuri, you can tell he views her as family.

Best superhero landing ever.
The cinematography, the lighting, score, sound editing are all smooth. It’s also emotionally satisfying and symbolic. Shuri’s theme is majestic. The score is so addictive.

This scene is EVERYTHING. The score!!! How Shuri looks up at M’baku before he challenges her. The intensity as they stare at each other while their hands grip. M’baku’s proclamation of Shuri as the Black Panther…it’s a revelation.

Shuri's mental projection of Kilmonger is one of the most unanticipated and significant part of MCU. The glimpse of a darkness in her character, her hunger for vengeance and her winning over it made this movie so different.
