That is a real pretty, one of a kind rolling pin, Andy! Great choice of wood scraps to take advantage of the color differences. Looks like you worked out your off-cut piece, too, so you're ready to make a second one. Great tip on using the flat board for sanding, I doubt I would have thought of that. Great job, buddy!

We have a bit of sunshine here in NZ at the moment, but nice being inside eating lunch while watching you create another Wooden wonder on your lathe.
I’m going out to turn something this afternoon probably a bowl.
