Tyger T1 Soft Tonneau Review

I've had this bed cover for 11 months, my thoughts about it including whether it leaks, the overall quality, and ease of installation.

So got mine installed on my Sport. I found a fairly large gap at the tailgate and back corners of the bed. When I pushed down to latch the cover it would pop back up a bit when I let go. Reached out to Tyger and they gave me a list of 5-6 things to check. Everything they suggested I had done correctly. While investigating this issue, I found the back of both my rails on top where the latches go in were bend up a bit. They were about 3mm higher than the plastics cap that goes in the end of the tonneau rails. I tapped both sides down lightly with a rubber mallet and wood block to make it flush with the plastic cap. This made a big improvement in the gap. I still had a slight gap where the gasket was not touching the tailgate cap. I thought I could do better. I didn't want to bend the rails down anymore. I ended up cutting a 1mm thick piece of plastic the size of the top of the latch. I super glued this to the top of the latch button on both side. The fit came out perfect. The gasket just kisses the top of the tailgate now. When I put a piece of paper between the tailgate and cover there is a bit of resistance. I can hear the gasket hitting the tailgate when I open/close it. I'll have to see if the added plastic pieces hold up. The latches work as designed even with this added piece.
Tip: You should press down on the cover when unlatching. If you don't there is a lot of stress on the end of the latches and can cause them to be damaged over time.

Can you drive with it rolled up? Like if you put a dirtbike back there, or would you recommend full uninstall?

Nevermind, i paused it right before you showed that you can drive the freeway with it rolled up

My cover isn’t flush with the top of my tailgate. I had a hard time latching it but I got it figured it out but it’s like a gap

Thanks for the review. I just got my 2022 Tacoma Sport. Going to put one of these one. Was looking at hard covers at the 1k price point but just can't justify that much for how much I'll use the cover.

I'm looking at the Tyger t3. Sounds like they are as good as gator

Thinking about buying one of these to keep the dust out of my truck bed. I live in the high desert and the windstorms are always getting my paint supplies dirty, they aren't expensive just get tired of constantly blowing the dust off.
