It's not the bandwidth that matters. It's the delay or latency on your connection. The faster your packets can be routed within 15 hops with no errors or loss, the better the experience. Plus most games fail over to UDP over TCP to reduce latency. Since TCP provides more overhead for connection reliability.

Where I live it's pretty easy to get 1Gbps up/down fiber, even in my old-ass house. I am reminded this is a lucky thing. I'm never moving 😂
