I have to say, it's a little painful listening to the broadcast from this ESPN crew for the PGA Championship. Punctuated by awkward amounts of dead air. Not much mention of the technicals of golf like how and why was this or that shot difficult, what is the player facing exactly, etc. Just a lot reiterating obvious things like "he hit it long, he hit it right, he hates it" Also cue the dead air/Marty Smith patting down his forehead LOL, 30:21 into round 1 broadcast. A lot of daylight between ESPN and CBS or NBC's broadcasts. Year in, year out, it's the same issues.
