Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina shared a close friendship with the late Sen. John McCain for more than 20 years. From the halls of the Senate to the campaign trail, to nearly 50 overseas trips to war zones, their bond was a rarity in a rancorous Congress. Graham spoke to "CBS This Morning" co-host John Dickerson about President Trump's reaction to McCain's death, White House counsel Don McGahn, and the special counsel investigation.

Delivered by Norah O’Donnell and Gayle King, "CBS This Morning" offers a thoughtful, substantive and insightful source of news and information to a daily audience of 3 million viewers. The Emmy Award-winning broadcast presents a mix of daily news, coverage of developing stories of national and global significance, and interviews with leading figures in politics, business and entertainment. It's sad he became a yes man to the guy who trashed his friend's memory.

I want to like Graham, he seems like a nice guy.... but I can’t get passed the fact that he lacks what McCain had ...

Graham is calculating and trying to determine where to best land. Graham acts as if he is tough on Trump but will ultimately do what is best for him and the GOP even if it hurts our nation.

It's sad that you have to tell the President of the United States to be a BIG MAN.

Donald's behavior has been "disturbing" from day one.
Republicans silence on this behavior has been "disturbing".
Baby Donald needs Graham to tell him to be a "big man"?

Everything that gaslighting traitor does is disturbing. Maybe Graham should have the balls to support emergency impeachment on the grounds of national security.

I read the article where Senator Graham received his call from Trump following his speech about McCain, and to me it was a hollow politically motivated response. While I agree that ideally we should be behind a president and work for success, MR Donald Trump has not shown he is a president to follow. I would love nothing more than to be behind our president but clearly he is THE wrong man to follow. To say to Trump, "thank you Mr. President"? Sorry, he does not deserve that title.

John McCain always seemed to me like a truly decent man. My throat grows thick when thinking about how this president have treated and spoken about mr. McCain. He wasn’t a hero for getting captured. He was a hero for fighting for what he loved and never giving up, to his last breath.

You have to give President Trump credit for not pushing the envelope. I bet he was planning on playing golf during the funeral.

Looking forward to Obama’s speech at McCain’s funeral. I’ve forgotten how a real president sounds like.
