Love the video, not to many people are willing to say a rougelike is better than dead cells or hades. I love both games but you did a great job of making a case for this game. I'm DLin now on my switch.

Isn't it kinda sad that this game got literally zero marketing and advertisement, so in reality nobody even knows about it.

Furthermore its been branded as too hard/hardcore by many (too many casuals these days), so it got an even smaller audience in the end due to that. For example I love the genre and knew nothing about it up to now and I'm trying it now for the first time in August 2023 and having a hell of a blast with it. Crazy isn't it. I definitely see potential here for a great game from the first few hours I played and I've probably seen nothing, but its a sad reality, dead cells and hades will always be what people know of in the genre. Popularity, marketing and accessibility unfortunately matters otherwise a game remains obscure. I am also pretty sure that most roguelite/roguelike streamers never tried this one either.

Fully agree with the Hades comparison. Hades is overhyped because it provides a strong meta progression, which makes players feel like they're progressing no matter what. In addition to that, it motivates players through its story. None of that is related to the rogue elements, and these elements really aren't the best when you take away all the fancy dopamine triggers (meta progression + story).

This game without a doubt has way better combat than hades..if you are a gameplay focused gamer then this is a roguelite for you

Top 1:Curse of the dead gods
Top 2:deadcells
Top 3:Moonlighter or hades (haven't played hades yet)

I guess the slow combat is what makes me feel awkward while playing. I try to play as if it is Hades
