Показать описание
Adam "Nolly" Getgood walks through a rock song in this mixing masterclass, focusing on bass guitar processing.

- 12 specialized styles of compression
- Use the grab compressor to add attack and impact
- Use the smash compressor for weight and size
- Built-in pre and post EQ sections to improve workflow
- Stop the guesswork with the powerful 'drum type' knob with hundreds of optimizations all happening under the hood
- Built-in saturation to help shape and add character to your drums
- Stop scrolling through your plug-ins endlessly trying to find the right compressor, and let your creativity flow with Smash and Grab.

*Note, this video uses a beta version of Smash and Grab so some features and graphics are different in the released version.

Way over-processed, it DOESN'T EVEN sound like Blood Eagle anymore...

Awesome freaking tips, I love this series!

This is the good example which shows, that if the bass is played and recorded good enough, there's don't need post production very much. A little bit EQ, a little bit compression, may be some stuff on DI. Amazing adventure has starting when the bass track is awful.

Any plans on making a Kemper Bass Profile Pack to go along with All The Gains? Love your stuff man!

Thanks for the video, really appreciate it! I have 2 questions: is there a reason why you would boost the 50Hz in Pro EQ instead of doing so in Pro MB? Also why use a high pass filter if you are boosting the subs afterwards in Pro MB? Why not use a shelf in Pro EQ instead?

Great video! I'm a huge fan of mixing DI Bass with Amp Bass as well.

I'm really happy you talked about using parallel compression and impulse responses. Just found 2 free impulse response loaders called "Pulse" and "LeCab2".

Can't wait to start using it and implementing it in my mixes. Thanks for the tips Nolly!

Was that second bass track on a stereo track? Did I miss something?

The DI sounds like EZ Bass « Djent » preset because of how clean that tone is. Can’t really fuck up with such a good source like this !

Well done, Nolly !
I love these videos

Thanks for this tutorial. Any advice on neck vs. bridge pup? I ask, because my Squire Dimension V bass is limited to a bridge humbucker, as I assumed that a bridge pickup is superior for metal rhythm just like rhythm guitar.

Hi Nolly, do you use your bass preamp when recording DI or do you prefer to go passive?
