Learn about your Tesla’s Autopilot features.

For 2012-2020 Model S and 2015-2020 Model X, refer to the Owner's Manual for specific Autopilot instructions.

Autopilot is a suite of hands-on features. Autopilot features do not make your vehicle autonomous. Keep your hands on the steering wheel at all times and be mindful of road conditions, surrounding traffic, and other road users (such as pedestrians and cyclists). Always be prepared to take immediate action. Failure to follow these instructions could cause damage, serious injury, or death. Refer to your Owner’s Manual for the latest information specific to your vehicle.

Cross traffic sensor when backing out of a parking space would be a great new feature that most other new cars have

The best functionality ever in a car, it is so enjoyable and relaxing while driving long and short distance it adds so much safety even if you are supervising it, nothing even close to this is comparable, this can only be understood while used extensively.
Thanks Tesla to make a world a safer world

You guys really need to update autopilot. It slams on break when it detects stopped traffic and that too it takes forever to detect. FSD is a lot better

I will say just picked up my new preowned MS 75D and the 200 mile drive home was much less stressful in the right lane on autopilot. It does like to jump off the exit and loves rest areas but yeah less stress still stands because we know how nutty the freeways can get myself included. It’s a sigh of relief for me honestly.

now fix phantom breaking and when it slams on the breaks when theres cross traffic 2000 feet away. (with TACC and AP, not FSD)

Lane Assistant does not work when there are cars parked at the side of the road. It brakes hard every time instead of driving past the car.
In addition, automatic parking or summoning does not work without parking sensors. My 10-year-old Volkswagen was able to park automatically.

I was lucky enough my friend let me drive her Tesla. We went on Highway, it was the best technology! Now I’m trading my Honda jazz for Tesla model y.

Tesla, PLEASE fix the forward collision warnings. I turned it off in settings and always keep at least a 4-6 car gap ahead, but im still in the red under my safety score. Forward collision was going off with all sorts of shadows and when there were no vehicles near me. Thankfully my other factors are all green so my score stays around 91 to 92

I hope Tesla AP can add road construction lane changing function in the future

I guess it's been too long for those of us S/X owners with a dedicated stalk for AP to be mentioned in this video. Don't know why they don't just allow us to pull down the gear shift like the newer cars to engage TACC and Auto Steer, makes moving between an old and new car confusing.

Tesla needs to adjust braking based on inference probability. Just because the system detects a human walking near the car, doesn't require 30% - 50% braking force. Perhaps an initial 1-2% then increases if probabilty increases or stabilises.

Too many negative comments…I wonder how many actual Tesla owners comment…My 2020 Model S with FSD is great….Most enjoyable driving …

Huge respect to CEO Nikola Tesla for building this company.

My hands are on the steering wheel and it still prompts me to put my hands and wiggle the wheel. Whats the point of AutoSteer if I have to push the wheel every few seconds for the car to know that I'm paying attention, why can't it just use the cabin camera to see I'm looking at the road!?!?
