looks like stoneware; exceptionally brittle when hot and under impact even from a minor height (compared to most ceramic pans) Also, don't set it on your copper heating element, it disperses the heat improperly giving it more points to crack as it tries to cool; try a thick towel, hot pad, or cooling block/pad

Holy cow. I knew that ceramic cookware could do that if cooled/heated unevenly, but I've never seen it.
It's amazing that you cought it on video.

Looks like you had the heating element hot that you set that on. Will break it every time. Always set stoneware or glass on a trivet or towel to cool.

I use 3 ceramic cups to bake cup cakes in. Why 3 you ask? Because originally I had 4 and one of them broke just like that.💩😂
