Great review Urban Survivor! A really fair comparison of these two budget night vision devices highlighting their advantages and where improvements could be made.
Just an FYI for your viewers, the Prowl can be mounted to helmets that are compatible with Wilcox G24 style mounts, Fast or bump helmets are often a fraction bigger so G24 mounts can be lose. Make sure you're getting a G24 style mount and compatible helmet to avoid any disappointment.

NVG 10 only has an 850nm illuminator. The problem is that is visible with the naked eye. Also in your comparison you did not tell us what setting the illuminators were at. Past level 4 the Prowl should switch to 850nm which should give more clarity at a distance.

For the prowl if u haven’t do the update you are only running half of the fps even if 60 fps selected it’s not running at that

I got myself the Prowl 3 weeks ago and I'm very satisfied with the package for that price point!
I think there are a few things that could be improved with only a little or no real extra cost, but overall... hey. Also you have 2 years warranty.

I have both and i use them o. Airsoft . The prowl you cant identify a target pass 100 feet the screen on prowl is not as crisp as you see in the video is very pixalated the nightfox swift 2 is was superior then the prowl the nvg10 gives no justice in the video in person is was more crisp the image is great . The only bad thing for the nvg10 is that fov is small so not really good for close combat at less the 50 feet but it shines at 50 and above im returning my prowl because the quality you see in the screen is not good and the screen is extremely bright even when you try to lower how bright it it. I bought a NVG10 recently and to say I'm impressed is an understatement.. It definitely looks 50% better than the recorded footage here. I'm surprised by how little light it needs, if any, to function in darkness. It's truly awesome. I just wish it was a true 1x.. It feels like it's 1.5x at least and I wish the FOV was higher.

Neither of those recording apps will download now btw. Apple must've blocked them both.

It's true that recording video with the NVG10 is a bit glitchy because the WiFi connection isn't always as stable. Nice video m8.

I run dual prowls on the night-fox bridge+ wilcox mount and it works great for airsoft. The wider FOV was the deal breaker for me, especially considering i mainly play at an indoor cqb field.

considering the cheapest analog bino entry starts around 4k for something like the Rix rng31, either the nvg10 or prowl are a great piece of kit that adds a high level of enjoyment to the game for a reasonable price.

Its digital NV. its not great but it doesnt have to be. Its a ton of fun.

The steady firmware updates on the prowl along with the recording options are great and its hard to beat at the price point.

It sure didn't appear that both devices were operating at 1x... The NVG looked to be at least 2x, so I'm not sure i like the comparison regarding distance/clarity

Prowl is 2x the size---way more fatigue on would expect Prowl to have better performance for size but ill stick with NVG for actually wear on helmet

Great video! Where did you get that screw-in mount for the nvg10??? Just recently received my nvg10 and it only has an awkward clamp mount.
