Thanks for your video... I found it very useful. But I have a question: when you introduce the impulse, at 2'23'', you also assign it a specific direction (that will influence also the computations and the final result) while the original assignment doesn't specify it... just the "magnitude of the impulse" is given. Why is this so? From my computation there should be another eligible velocity v=-10u/3 that satisfy the requirements.

Sir this is a general question... Suppose A exerts an Impulse of 10Ns on B. Whose mass and velocity should we consider to proceed with our calculation? Is it the one who is providing the impulse (A) or the one who's getting hit so B?

so when we are asked about magnitude/speed we always write a positive answer? are there any cases where we have to write down the answer with the sign?
