Hi everyone, this is a traditional/ signature Goan chicken curry which is packed with flavours! Goan food is rich, spicy and intensely flavourful. It is simple to make and is a classic dish from Goa.Hope you like my style of Goan chicken xacuti. It is best eaten with pao or goan bread. Do try and let me know...
INGREDIENTS
Chicken 600gms
Onions 2 medium sliced
Garlic 5-6 pods
Tamrind 1/2 tbsp pulp
Cloves 3-4
Cinnamon 1" stick
Pepper 10-12 corns
Star Anise 1-2
Nutmeg 1/4 tsp
Whole dry red chillies 3-4
Coriander seeds 2tbsp
Cumin seeds 3/4 tbsp
Carrom seeds 1 tsp
Fennel seeds 1 tsp
Poppy seeds 1 1/2 tbsp
Turmeric 1/2 tsp
Coconut grated 1/4 cup
Salt according to taste
Coconut oil 4 tbsp
or Refined oil
