- Folks, I'm well aware of the various frame counter programs out there. I was just disappointed that I couldn't use Fraps. This wasn't a benchmarking video, but I can tell you that the performance cuts are minimal (anywhere from a 5-15 FPS decrease on average compared to vanilla GTAV, according to the developer's website).

I've always felt that GTA V has the best sky boxes in any game. (Frostbite, CDPR, Bungie all coming close) Redux only convinces me of this even further.
Also, I've been here since like 10k..seems like just last month you were at 50k.

I will install Redux when I have time to go through the Story Mode again from the beginning. GTA V is one of those few games I'd like to play multiple times.

dude, you didn't give us enough nighttime footage. the nights is where this mod REALLY kicks in.
I also have a GTX 1070 but I play on my UHD monitor and it runs farelly well. ofc I can not "completely" max out all the settings but I have it on Very High and it looks AMAZING!
only thing I didn't like is that they really put it too much of the bloom effect. when you look at a cars front lights in the night it already turns blueish and it really looks too bright but other than that I am very satisfied with the mod.

For future reference, and you may have known this, but steam has an in-game frame counter available. Settings, in-game, In-game FPS counter, select one (I prefer top left with high contrast color ticked)

Nice video, enjoyed the showcase of GTA V Redux. Since you mentioned it was taxing on the system and you couldn't use Fraps for FPS Display, what about GeForce Experience? I assume that's light on the system? Seems like they kinda killed off the name "Shadowplay" and just integrated it in fully as of GeForce Experience 3.0, it has a FPS Display though which you might be able to use. Not sure if it's able to be captured though since I haven't done any recordings as of yet.

The fire is changed and there are physics and sound changes too
