PRP Treatment for Shoulder Pain and Rotator Cuff
Показать описание
This video will go over PRP treatment for shoulder pain and explore how platelet rich plasma injections work. PRP injections are an exciting new treatment option that falls under the umbrella category of orthobiologics and regenerative medicine. It uses your body’s own platelets which are responsible for tissue healing, tissue remodeling, tissue proliferation, and in controlling pain and inflammation.
Initial studies looking at PRP for shoulder conditions had mixed results. Newer studies such as the ones below show more promising data. PRP treatment can help treat shoulder pain from partial rotator cuff tears, rotator cuff tendinopathy, and shoulder impingement.

Subacromial Platelet-Rich Plasma Injections Decrease Pain and Improve Functional Outcomes in Patients With Refractory Rotator Cuff Tendinopathy
► Things my patients have found helpful:

Please use it as a starting point. If you have questions, please discuss with your healthcare provider. With that said, I have tried a number of the products below, but not all. I have included some based on positive feedback from many of my patients. As an Amazon Associate, Dr Peng earns from qualifying purchases.
