We discuss the short history of the Honda CRX, a car that helped to define the future of FWD hot hatches. We drive and discuss what makes this car unique and yet sad. While there have been better Hondas, this car has the staying power along with the NSX, Integra Type R, and S2000. There are a few aside from the VW Rabbit, and Golf that generated so much excitement.

For the sake of humanity, please never quit making these types of videos a few times a year. The tremendous effort you put into editing and production blows all other channels out of the water. Keep up the good work!

This was chicken soup for the soul, an enthusiast time-machine. It brought back this nostalgic feeling of driving in the 90's, and when things were simpler. Thank you Mark, Jack and the whole team at Savagegeese - know that all your hard work has not gone unnoticed. Thank you for continuing to pursue this creative outlet, for ~18mins today, I got to relive the golden age.

This may not turn out to be your most viewed videos, but I do so appreciate you making these.

I can't get enough of HOW GOOD this car sounds like. Like, for real, it's legit one of the best in-cabin sound I've ever heard on a road car

I’ve had two last gen CRX Si’s. It’s very hard to explain to people just how awesome these cars are. Great video, Mark.

Hit it right on the head. CRX was my taproot car, and I still have one sitting in my garage so that I could share that pure, visceral experience with my kids. Thank you for looking both forwards and backwards in our automotive landscape. Drive on…

We sometimes take these content for granted. Thanks for reminding us we can’t. Look forward to another year of honest and engaging content!

This nostalgic and thoughtful film is more personal as I marshalled at SCCA events when Jason Saini was racing Hondas for King. Great trackside memories.

I absolutely love the way this car sounds. Perfectly balanced induction and exhaust note. I would never get tired of hearing that little Honda sing.

As an 80's and 90's kid I loved these cars. I was fortunate enough to occasionally drive my buddies Mitsubishi GT 3000 VR4 and then I fell down the rabbit hole of JDM. Much love for the passion projects! I love when you make a video like this, it kinda seems like a mini documentary. w00t!

The CRX was one of my grail cars in high school and college. Missed out on it, but managed to recapture some of the vibe with an NA Miata and my current CRZ. As always, appreciate the perspectives and stunning visuals you bring us. Your channel is a streaming museum, past and present!

My brother in law owned a CRX in the early 90’s. He raced it in SCCA and loved it. Sold it when he started a family. He won’t admit but he cried a little after watching this.

I've said it before on here, I'll say it again; why this channel doesn't have 1M+ subscribers is beyond me! The cinematography alone, (NEVERMIND the FANTASTIC AUDIO production!) is worth it. This is a dream car of mine since I was 10 years old, thanks, Gran Turismo!
To EXPERIENCE a tribute to this gem of a car warms the cockles of my soul. you.
Now I need to find your Patreon since you DiDn'T LiNk iT!!!

You guys are totally in a league of your own when you make these special videos focusing on a retro car or a particular brand. There is nothing else on YouTube that communicates the passion behind these cars quite like this.

Loved that closing sentence! Always loved CRX's as I raced with them back in the day at Blackhawk in my 1st gen RX7 ITA car and then my NA Spec Miata. Thanks and happy New Year! PS - how much emotion from this CRX is captured by your new type r?

Mark is a legend on Reddit. Always get lots of thumb ups whenever I post remarks and reviews he makes. Got damn it, the Savagegeese listens to his audience! I will say this again, the quality he makes, the work he puts into his reviews are far better than all the major corporate car reviewers. Being short, bald, and having comedic sense is cool again. It's beyond cool it's the Savagegeese.

I want retro and he's delivered.

First YouTube video I've ever paid for. Honestly top tier production value every single time, thank you for your continued efforts!

Was floored by the CRZ comment. I get that it doesn't make a lot of sense on paper, but after driving one for 6 months it always makes me smile, which is great considering its only job is for the daily gridlocked commute.

Also I can't think of a suitable replacement that is also small, manual, economical (avg of 6L per 100kms/39mpg), has 4 seats, modern, somewhat sporty and is enjoyable to drive.

As someone looking to relive the driving experience of cars like CR-X SiR someday, it’s hard not to donate to content like this. Appreciate all the efforts behind it.

This video is perfection. I have been driving Hondas since just before I graduated college in 1990. I started driving Hondas because they were safe, dependable, FUN TO DRIVE, and financially accessible. Even the base 1991 Civic 4-speed coupe I drove through medical school, for which the passenger side door mirror was optional, was fun to drive. And the CRX SiR and NSX were dreams to me back then. Now I own a NSX and dream about owning at least a CRX Si. Thank you for a reminder of what Honda’s Golden Era was about.
