Salamat, Maria is a song composed on the occasion of the 100th canonical coronation anniversary of the image of Our Lady of the Rosary, La Naval de Manila in 2007. Composed by Mr. Jovito Cariño (words) and Mr. Venancio Saturno (music) and arranged by Mr. Louie Ocampo, the song expresses a person’s gratitude to our Blessed Mother for her unconditional love and unceasing guidance to her children. The song is given life by OPM legend Mr. Basil Valdez together with the Tiples de Santo Domingo and the UST Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Prof. Herminigildo Ranera.

15 years ago.. When I was in deep emotional struggle. While searching the YouTube for a song to makes me feel a little comfort. This song with another video from La Naval that makes me so emotional. I did cry alot that it seems the Blessed Mother is thier as I able to understand the song. I instantly became of her devotees which I dream of being able to visit her shrine in Sto. Domingo. Praying with her picture where ever I go us always been my source of inspiration, strength.
