Let's improve application workflow significantly by adding continuous deployment!

Continuous deployment is one of the easiest ways to DRASTICALLY improve workflow for any application. You simply have your continuous integration service of choice run a deploy script against your server.

Now, whenever you merge to master, your code is out on production and when you merge on staging, it's out on a staging server. It's an incredible workflow that makes deploying your code manually feel archaic.

GitLab CI is part of GitLab which is similar to GitHub + Travis CI. It's free and much better ancient looking Jenkins or many other free tools. Highly recommend it.

hmmm, good video but maybe it's not for me. i just don't see the the huge improvement to workflow, probably because i'm usually already ssh'd into the production server whenever i'm working so it's no hassle at all to pull
