Thanks for the study motivation. I am a citizen of India so besides criticizing the government I need to play my part in my country's progress! Aspire to become a doctor one day!!

#AskAbhijit Greetings, Sir. I am a student of business administration & I was planning to go out to the west for further studies. Fortunately for me, I am the curious one & started reading about how West plundered & robbed us of our treasury, knowledge & glory(Shameful act). Now, by looking at how my country needs the youth to stay here, support it & make it prosperous from the very roots of it I started preparing for Civil Services Examination. But to my surprise it's a whole different world. Sir, It hurts me to the core to see how anglophilic & left-biased things we'll have to study to be able to take an attempt at one of if not the most prestigious exams in our country(Teachers tell you that britishers did good to & for us & you have to subscribe to an utterly left-biased newspaper to even start preparing for it, The Hindu lol). Sir, Why are we, our government or any other related organization not doing something about it? Why is it happening in the first place? What can we do on our level to have a better & brighter future in this context? I mean, what is a country if even it's administration is not nationalist but anglophilic & left-biased?

I have to tell you, I have watched people from India come to the United States of America for over 40 years. They arrive bewildered, sometimes poor, but always with their families. They stick together, work hard, prosper. In ONE generation, they have Ph.D.'s, they become medical doctors, engineers and all around nice people.

It is not about India supplanting the USA. It is the USA after all. Instead, it is about INDIANS rising to greatness in the Greatest Country in the world.

Few days back I read in the Deccan Herald about the opinion of the Japanese ministers on India participating in Vladivostok war games along with China and Russia on the land. But we didn't participated in the sea as it might hurt the sentiments of the Japanese because the Sea of Japan is a disputed area as far as I remember. The minister replied that how would India feel if we participated in war drills with Pakistan on the Arabian Sea and when asked about it, we reply we aren't practising war drills in PoK region. This is a valid point to be honest. What is your take on this??
Thanks and Regards.

Everything goes and comes in a cycle. London was once the centre of World Politics, not London doesn't hold that much political clout. New York is the centre of World Politics (even though the US capital is Washington but most of the major US and World institues are in the USA) This will also come and go. I don't know who next superpower is going to be but it is dam sure USA will not have the clot that it is enjoying right now in future.

India does not need to be military superpower. But it can be economic superpower by focusing on Indian Ocean and Central Asia. India needs to create Dharmic Superpower like The Emperor Ashoka's Empire.

Yes, we are in decline. Yes, empires rise and fall. Now if India becomes the next superpower, surpassing even China, then please remain humble and spiritual like Lord Rama. Don't start thumping your chests like every other empire. We are tired of that. Set a good example. Oh, by the way, the USA wasn't all bad. We had some good principles, even if we didn't always follow them.

Just focus on getting Indians out of poverty and focus on making Indian lives better every year by year. All this super power nonsense is all talk right now.

America has the largest military budget in the world and their military definitely shows it. Both in terms of quality, quantity, and technological advancement. I won't go into details here. But yes, it's pretty impressive and nobody even comes close. Though they have disagreements and spats on occasion, India and America, for the most part, have good relations. India shouldn't focus on trying to replace America as a superpower. India should focus on developing economically and bringing prosperity to all Indians. Military power will always stem from economic power.
