The software requirements for running the emulator must be met in order for the software to function at all. The PlayStation 3 system software is required because it is utilized to load system files for the emulator such as the PlayStation 3's proprietary system libraries. Linux and BSD based operating systems do not require the Microsoft Visual C++ 2019 redistributable.

Please note - A 64-bit operating system is required. Windows 7, 8 and 10 are supported as well as Linux and BSD.

I'm able to launch my game's PKG file without RCPS3 emulator asking me for a RAP file. Do I still need to install the RAP file that came together with my game's PKG file?

This isn't the problem I'm currently having. My problem is that I have a lot of rap and pkg files, and I want to install a multitude at once instead of only one at a time, which is really tedious when you have too many files to keep track of what you installed and what you haven't. And don't get me started on installing DLC!
