Cammus really has to improve their distribution network. It's the only thing holding them back right now.

This product should be storming the sim racing market right now, but nobody can seem to get them in a reasonable time and quality control is all over the place.

I want one, but I don't want to pay nearly $100 for shipping. I can get the CSL DD with pedals and wheel for almost as little as this.

I think it's also safe to say that it also depends on what games people play like if u play arcade racer like nfs and other arcade racers the g920 will be fine because it works on all nfs from underground 1 to nfs unbound

I was really interested in this wheel as it looked like a DD which I could mount on my gt lite.
I found a bundle on their website with pedals for 290 dollars didn't know if the pedals were any good but thought might be on par with my T3pm .
So I thought looks good about 270 euro for the bundle, sell my current wheel and not have to spend much to get a reasonable upgrade.
Ended soon enough though after transport, customs, vat and kosts I think it was almost 500 euro.
You can currently get a fanatec bundle for 399 at your home also 5nm.
This needs EU warehouses to be competitive.
Shame,

Ever since Cammus released the price on this, I have said exactly this. Fanatec's recent deals look incredibly sus when tied in with this AND the LP8 coming soon... I've been dying to get my hands on one of these to tear down to understand what's going on here.
My honest belief is the Cammus C5 is going to be the new G29, becoming a modding powerhouse among low-end sim-racers and trucker's! They're the real ones being overlooked here.

The concept is 10/10, but the look of it is 1/10. It looks like they put a pizza in a wheel.

For the paddles, I'm sure in the future there'll be some adapters to make them larger. Should be easy enough to 3dprint :D

Gotta rethink some critical points of their design. For example the paddle shifters should be bigger, comfortable and reachable at every angle of rotation, but I gotta agree it's an amazing concept just needs to be cured

In Germany it is still cheaper to get the fanatec bundle than this, just not worth it with that absurd shipping cost.

i appreciate that the shifters are small. People can 3d print their own add-ons to it, and they are totally out of the way if someone is racing without paddle shifters

This wheel is very interesting. But if the Fanatec R2R Bundle sticks around, it's probably still the best option, even for new sim racers. It's only $50 more, and it gets your foot in the door to a huge ecosystem, and even the ability to upgrade to 8nm eventually for much cheaper than having to buy a whole new wheel base. Plus when you are buying Fanatec, you are buying from a known entity, who for the most part have a solid reputation for making pretty good, even higher end with some of their products, sim racing hardware. That's IF that bundle sticks around though.

Oh man, I wish you could review the Cammus 15nm i would love to watch that. Was hoping software drivers and firmware had improved for small details some people talked about.

I can't wait for these to sell out everywhere as scalpers try to sell them back for triple the price.

The C5 and Thrustmaster TLC-M would be a really good and cheap starter set. DD is important, but a load cell is arguably more important.

I ordered this wheel from cammus a month ago. I've tried to contact Cammus about my order but never get any response. Had to open a dispute with paypal to get my money back. Obviously the wheel exists but its a gamble if you will ever get one. You will never hear a word from Cammus either.

So since there's no disclosure in the video that I noticed. With shipping and everything from the website for the wheel and peddles and desk clamp it's actually 450 usd

Considering the size of the wheel, I would consider that as a travel, perfect to race in the hotel room, when you are like me travel for work ;)

shipping cost alone is one third of the msrp of the combo...

Unfortunately, I am very unhappy with Cammus' warranty service.

I purchased a C5, which developed a defect after just over 1 month of use.

Cammus sent me another unit and asked me to pay the customs duties and I paid.

Now, when it comes to refunding, Cammus is informing them that the fees are higher than they can pay.

I am really disappointed with Cammus and at this moment I am not thinking about purchasing anything else from the brand, and I will strongly recommend to the virtual pilot community that they do not buy either.
