You try to do this in the 2020's and you'd get thrown in prison. But gut-wrenching bloodletting violence, death, tragedy and all kinds of emotional abuse are in no short supply in today's anime. Gone is the 'light-hearted and yes, sexy and silly' stuff that exists purely for its own sake. The redo of Urusei Yatsura (another mostly-80s iconic masterpiece) was the closest I've seen in recent years and even that was pretty watered-down for modern sensibilities.

Brilliant clip, but why the inferior English dub? I remember that explicit panty shot being so shocking in the 90s. 😜 A-KO is so yummy 😍
