This may sound really stupid but I wonder when stocks are being sold by other people and not by the company itself, how do they make money off of stocks? Isn't it kind of stupid selling huge parts of your company once and then never make any miney off of it ever again with so many people owning parts of your company now?

I like it very much but could you make a crypto version? That would be so amazing, because I have 200k+ from normal stocks like Tesla but I want to get into bitcoin or dogecoin or something else.

I know it may be hard, but that would help so much for someone go into crypto but arent ready to invest real money :)

So if we are buying stocks from other people that are selling stocks and the profits we make after selling said stocks, and aren’t really coming from the company itself, but from other people looking to buy shares. Is that not textbook definition of a Ponzi scheme?
