The report must be made public. The American People has the RIGHT to know.

If Mueller's report is not made public can't Congress bring Mueller before them in some sort of Congressional hearing and get what was in it that way?

I actually thought Barr did a decent job in his hearing today. Like Betsy said, he is sophisticated and smart. I trust that he will do the right thing. He's certainly better than Matt Whitaker.

Why is a publicly funded report not available to anyone who wants to see it?

Doesn't matter what barr says. The House can bring Mr. Mueller to speak in front of the house of representatives.

If the tradeoff is no report but finish the investigation, then let this option be warranted and enforced: A sealed indictment to be *unsealed* the day the felon-in-chief leaves the White House. *No other deal.* Better yet, no confirmation.

Y'know, I don't really care if "the public" ever gets to see the report. Information will be available to the public in any later proceedings. But keeping the report from Congress can't be tolerated.

Imagine and ANY court where the defendant receives not only the discovery material but actual arguments that the prosecution was going to use. Kangaroo much?

It seems to me that Mr. Barr was perfectly reasonable. I can imagine that some of Mr. Mueller's report is highly confidential - methods etc.

The president is a public servant. He works for the people. Therefore the public has a right to any information about how he is doing this job and since they are paying his expenses, what it is costing them.

What this guy should be saying is examples of the reasons he would not release parts of Mueller's report to the public. But that wold make us infer that he would have all the skill sets and knowledge to make these decisions. The experience in the world of intelligence and law to decide. They should be asking questions that make him tell them things that tell them he is capable of making these decisions.
But for my money, he is still partisan, as Flannery said today. And look what the republicans held back from the house democrats. That's why the house intelligence committe is so important.
