Hiya! At 18'46': "most of the analysts" (analyse/proivide info about the other players); this still means that they are ALL analysts - whatever they analyse or do. (Compare with this statement: "Most 4-wheel drive cars are black, blue or white." > We're still talking about all 4-wheel drive cars; not bicycyles or aeroplanes). For that reason, I feel the explanation and answer given by Watson Glaser itself is incorrect. Sim, can you see whether you agree?

This was really helpful to hear you reason through the questions, debating pros and cons for different answers. Spoken reasoning was somehow easier to comprehend than trying to reason this out in writing or to follow a written guide. Thanks for doing this!

Please the Watson Glaser test is so difficult and a massive headache! I applied to one of the Linklaters programmes and glad to say I messed up the Watson test :)) Thank you for this Sim!

I did the one thing you weren't supposed to do ... I last minuted the test with like three hours total prep. This video and your sheet pretty much saved me and I passed 😭 Tysm

inferences - not just what was said or done but the INTENTION behind it (q1),
q2 - read each word carefully

Insightful. Although I believe there are three questions here that don’t seem right, particularly this one:
Statement interpretation:
Everyone who suffers with depression also experiences some type of personal battle. For example, Chloe’s dog passed away while Jamie lost his job.
It says that ‘conclusion follows’ for this statement: Jamie lost his job because of depression.
- If the statement was just about the lost job, then yes, we can infer that the depression was the cause. But because this comes in the same sentence as the dying dog, this cannot logically be so. This would imply that the causal chain is the same for both statements in the sentence. As far as I know losing one’s job does not cause one’s dog to die. The only way it makes sense is if the causality is going in the other direction: the depression came as a result of these two negative incidents. I don’t see how their conclusion can follow for one example and not for the other.
-This makes me even more worried about the test.

Your Accent is so good and you are a very confident speaker. No wonder you landed 3 training contracts. I am doing my freshfield watson glaser this week. But absolutely zero confidence I can do well in the Assessment day even if I pass.

I'm pretty sure the stated answer to the inference question on Stuart Archer is wrong. I'd have said "probably true". That's because he works in the data analysis team and most of them are Data Analysts (although, he may be a manager, tech support or admin). Given that MOST of them are data analysts, it can reasonably be inferred that on the balance of probability, he's a Data Analyst. it's not true beyond a reasonable doubt from the statement, but statistically, it's more likely to be true than not.

Thank you for posting this. I'm very glad I didn't go into the test just winging it like a personality assessment.
