Ngl this audio goes so well for them. I would love to see Vox being evil and trying to mess up Charlie’s plans while acting as if he is the only one that cares enough to stick around to gain her trust. I can not wait for season 2 😀

I have no idea where Vox and Charlie as a dynamic started but recently I've seen a lot of them and you know what, this audio was perfect for this what if scenario. Vox is exactly the kind of guy to use this situation to try and manipulate Charlie. Love the way you drew this

Vox: "You know what it's like to live up to standards that you don't agree with? The things one does when that can happen is insurmountable. Look at me, Charlie, I turned out just fine down here, and all it took was..." Vox paused his words, realizing what he was saying. He turned his coy smile into a concerned face, and set his arms over the railing of the terrace.

Charlie: "All it took was what?"

Vox: "...lots of people supporting you."

Charlie: "And you speak this because of...?"

Vox: "That doesn't matter anymore, dear. What matters is that I had done what was needed for me to succeed. And now I'm here..."

Charlie noticed that Vox had a face of regret and remorse when looking over to his front body. Concerned by this, she stepped up to him and put her left hand to the corner of the screen he had for a face, and carefully turned him to look to her directly.

Charlie: "Vox..." Charlie started, putting her other hand on the opposite side of his screen.

Charlie: "...what REALLY happened. Please, tell me... I want to hear what you have to say..."

Vox was at shock, his face turning from shocked to cryful, and finally happy in the span of five seconds.

Vox: "That's all I ever wanted from someone, Charlie..." he said, grabbing Charlies left hand with both of his, lowering it from his face and embracing her as a result.

Vox: "Okay... let's start from the beginning... so I was a young man in my home back when I was alive, and it was World War II..."

Vox started, going further into details about his past, the events that transpired during them, and how he died, to the point of when he arrived in Hell and how he came to power with the previous members of the Vees before Velvette and Valentino arrived to Hell.

Much time passed, and both Vox and Charlie were sitting with each other on the terrace, drinking the occasional glass of whiskey and wine and exchanging jokes and flattery with each other while Vox told his story, all while the stars surrounding Pride had begun to fall and the night was arriving.

The stars were beautiful, both of them declaring that they loved seeing certain constellations while lying down on the ground, heads reflecting from each other.

Vox: "Thank you, Charlie. You wanted to hear my story..."

Charlie: "No, Vox, thank you for letting me hear your story..."

The two of them ended their interaction with a warm embrace with each other, both letting tears run from their eyes in the process.

The stars really were beautiful tonight. Both of them looked up one last time to see the magnificence again before going back into the Hazbin Hotel and parting ways from there.

I can imagine something like this happening in season 2.. A falling out causes the group to separate, and Vox goes to try to comfort Charlie.. Originally for his own plans, but then, over time.. he genuinely seems to grow to care about Charlie and feel bad for her and what's been happening to her revealing that something like this had happened to him, and to ensure Charlie doesn't end up like him, he'd be willing to make a mutually beneficial deal with Charlie and set things right..
