Cheap Snowmobile Challenge

Do you REALLY need to spend thousands of dollars on a new snowmobile? How does a $1,000 snowmobile compare to a $20,000 snowmobile?

I bought a 20 year old snowmobile (2003 Polaris RMK 700 151 track) and we're going to truly put it to the test to see where you can actually go on a cheap snowmobile vs an expensive snowmobile. Snowmachining doesn't get any more fun than this!

MAKE SURE TO CHECK OUT @1puglife (the DIY jumping video clips in this video)... the "Awww Dick" sticker I made for my cheap beater sled is inspired by his crazy videos on his Youtube channel.
Also MASSIVE shout out to Ryan @Alaska Family Motor Sports for tuning up the sled and getting it ready for the upcoming cheap snowmobile video series! You da man Ryan! You guys check out Alaska Family Motor Sports in Anchorage if you need your snowmobile repaired or tuned up!

So much fun! Nice to know if you're on a budget, you can still ride out in the snow & have a good time out snowmobiling.

I’m a landscaper on seasonal break and I’m just now finding this channel, I think I passed over it because I’m a VanCity Van Life guy and I know I’ve passed by a few times over the years, but yeah man epic sweet channel I’m digging it.

I lived in Anchorage from 64 to 2002 and Are you drove past Turnagonarm on the way to kenai hundreds of times, but sadly never got to go back that far, my loss.
Thank you so much for making this video.

I run a 2002 Polaris Edge with a 121" track, it works fine in the 4-6 feet we get here in northern Ontario and my friends with their new sleds are always amazed at the old girl. Glad someone else is out there showing that the base sled technology hasn't changed much other than layout.

Love it! I ride the same sled but '05. I need to ditch my Simmons skis hardcore. for this type of riding.

Its weird that someone would ever think less of an older sled that wouldve been the best of the best when it was new. Gotta respect the forefathers!

That is an awesome sled I owned one of those 700’s with a 144 20 years ago and really liked it. Super reliable plenty of power to go and seriously ride the powder and mountains. Takes a little more skill than these new sleds take to ride but it will take you pretty much anywhere u want to go and be a blast getting there. The 700 was really better than the 800 of the time. Highly highly recommend one of these to get into the sport or even if you have been riding a long time
