If world leaders had the same amount of passion when it comes to science, as Mark has when talking about the food, we would have flying sorceress by now.

In Philly there is much road rage, yet at Wawa entrances people are super-polite and always hold the door.

Philly boy born and raised. You did a good job with this food video. You saved the best for last, Philly beer culture!
There are more craft breweries and brew houses in town. Yards is the largest in the city. Good food and great beer.
If you want to eat it, you can find it here in Philly; Chinese in Chinatown, German at Brauhaus Schmidt’s, Italian everywhere. If you want a Michelin 5 star restaurant or a Brazilian steakhouse, we have it.
The homage to our beloved Wawa is appreciated.
Two big Philly Phanatic thumbs up for this video.
Next time you’re in town, we can get a chicken cutlet Italian at Tony’s, it will knock your socks off!

I am a Philly native and you covered it really well!! I do love the street vendor pretzels and not not from a bakery. And Corrpolese tomato pie. Best ever.

The Reading Terminal Market is great. I recommend the 9th Street Italian Market. Ralph's Italian Restaurant is the oldest family run Italian restaurant in the United States. Isagro's has the best Italian pastries. When we go to the Market, we eat at Anthony's Italian Coffeehouse. They have panninis for lunch, coffee, teas, and pastries.

I'm in NE Philly and my friend from South Philly ordered a chicken parm sandwich with gravy on the side, and she got her red sauce on the sandwich and a side cup of brown gravy.

Love the food in Philadelphia. Your suggestions are great. One place I really like is the Famous 4th St Deli. Pastrami sandwich is spectacular! I always stay within walking distance. They have something for everyone. Cheers!

South Philadelphia has the best authentic Mexican food! So if you're in Philly and in the mood for true tasting Mexican food, try Tamalex, Blue Corn, Taqueria La Prima, and many others :)

But in Philadelphia, we don’t call it Reading Market. We say Reading Terminal. And the Italian Market, if you’re a local, is just called 9th Street. I used to live in Philadelphia and the locals do shop there for food.

I'm from Philly. I agree about reading terminal market and especially soft pretzels (PHILA Pretzel Factory my favorite). Don't generally like cheesesteaks but love Cleavers! Lots of great food everywhere. Beilers donuts too. Cannot be beat! Enjoy.

As a Pennsylvania native both the hoagies and the pretzels are the best in the country. Flat out. No debate

We live in Maryland and love going to Philly for food! The market is amazing. We love stopping by Suraya which is the fish town and their food is amazing! Can’t wait to go back!

I'm local, and I have to say this is some solid info! There are also a ton of great Mexican restaurants in the Italian market Wawa is everywhere, but the food is not the best I’d only eat that stuff as a last resort; there are so many better options around the city.
