The Congress hit out at the BJP on Wednesday over the ‘Jana Sankalpa Yatra’ by Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and saffron party stalwart BS Yediyurappa. Congress leader Siddaramaiah said that instead of criticising Rahul Gandhi, the saffron party should ask Prime Minister Narendra Modi to respond to questions about corruption allegations levelled against the BJP-led government in Karnataka.
In a series of tweets, Congress leader Siddaramaiah launched a blistering attack against the BJP.Taking a swipe at the Karnataka CM, Siddaramaiah claimed that Bommai is “safe as long as he continues to pay the installment to BJP high command”.
“Former CM BS Yediyurappa and the present CM Basavaraj Bommai are on a Janasankalpa Yatra. I want to challenge them on two things- 1) Get down of the car and walk for 4Km without falling down, 2) Do a 5 minute speech without taking the name of Siddaramaiah.
