Furious Donald Trump slams 'disgraceful' civil fraud trial

Donald Trump took a break from proceedings in his civil fraud trial on Monday (October 3), a case against him and his family business that could deal a major blow to the former U.S. president’s real estate empire.

Trump, the frontrunner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, is accused by Democratic New York Attorney General Letitia James of inflating the value of his assets by billions of dollars to secure better loan and insurance terms.

An owner cannot "overinflate" his or her assets, as there is NO paperwork whereas an owner would have the opportunity to provide his or her own opinions as to property value, as there are experts that do that.. I cannot write down anywhere that my 200K house is worth or valued at 400K.. In real estate there are comparable properties and appraisals used as to acquire property values..
