I bought this laptop 3 months ago.
Its the best laptop for students indeed, it handles vr game development like a beast. The laptop is light enough to be carried in a laptop bag on my moped for 35minutes without hurting.
My peak performance is neos VR at 144fps in a local lobby.

Used this for around 6 months as a college student. I have no complaints
Gives me an average of around 100 fps for cyberpunk on medium settings .
The battery lasts around 3ish hours while not gaming.

I am using MSI GF63 (older gen). Really disappointed with the build quality and reliability of this laptop. Faced hinge issue and got it fixed with warranty. And the battery spoiled within a year of usage. Very disappointed with MSI

For those watching this, please don't get the MSI GF, GL or any of their cheap budget series, The build quality is so bad, there's a class action lawsuit in the work by M&R (The same people that won a case against ASUS's battery issue)

Anyone in the gaming laptop community will tell you to stay away from these horrible laptops, these laptops are not worth your money

Found sale with a 12th gen i7 2.3ghz 32GB DDR4 1TB PCIE SSD nVidia RTX 4060 for $849. Think that's as good as it gets. My only question is will that PCIe SSD be worse than a NVME? Seems like it could be a bottleneck for the rest of the system?

i have the exactly previous model of this laptop: MSI GF63 12VE 653GR, same CPU, previous GPU [RTX 4050]. all i can say is that its amazingly solid for all kinds of tasks, both for work and gaming, personally i could care less for 4K gaming cuz im a bit oldschool so this laptop is an absolute W for me....i mean sure it gets a little hot sometimes, oh well, which laptop within reason doesnt

I don't think this laptop supports VR I'm writing this rn on that exact same laptop, My old desktop allowed me to use a vr headset and connected it to my laptop through cable link and could play games really well while this laptop doesn't even let me run the app stating that my hardware isn't supported or weak really dissapointed
