Peter and Wendy embody all that is wrong with modern love. The selfishness, idealism, stagnation- desire for a woman to never change and a man to grow up. This looks like a fabulous movie, also exploring escapism and the predatory nature of preserving or stealing innocence out of its proper time.

I like how it portrays Peter Pan, it's much more similar to his book version than the Disney adaption.

Is it only me? When I watched Peter Pan for the first time, even as a kid, I always thought of him as creepy rather than dreamy. I mean sure he's handsome and has that boyish charisma, but something about him is scary. Like he has a hidden agenda.

Has anyone of you read the books and know the analysis behind it, because Peter Pan is one of those movies that takes me back to my childhood. He is like the protagonist/antagonist of his own story.

Finally, an actually good "dark" Peter Pan take that does actually align with the original book and its themes without taking too many liberties (while still being otherwise wholly original)

I didn't realize Peter Pan is so creepy. Coming off kinda predatory am I right?

i’ve always loved the more demonized version of peter pan like in the show once upon a time it just makes for such a good story and is so much better than the disney versions

I don’t care if this turns out to be a low budget movie. I’m still gonna watch it just for Louis.

I have loved this book since I was a teen myself and I am SO EXCITED that it’s finally getting a movie! No one ever knows this book - The Lost Girls by Laurie Fox.

This looks super interesting! I was always very sad they didn't make a sequel to the mid-2000s live-action so I am actually really up for this. Plus, gotta love a bit of Louis Patridge 😊.

It's important to remember that Peter is locked into the body of a child, the body affects the mind. Even being alive for thousands of years if the body doesn't grow the mind will forever be that of a child, undoubtedly a twisted one in peters case. Children can be extremely cruel because to they are very selfish being who has yet to learn empathy and taking responsibility for their own actions, this can be treated through guidance from parents but peter never had any hence causing him to be a being who lives outside the moral grounds of society. His actions come of predatory because he is basically a hurt wild animal getting back at a society that failed him. And he does so by taking away children. Probably with good intentions initially but them growing up feels like a betrayal to him so he kills them, further aggravating his mental issues. It's an evil circle..

The budget … also why is Hook kissing older Wendy’s neck wtf 😭 a lot of questions I mean I’m excited to understand the plot better but this movie seems slightly odd

In the original story of Peter Pan the lost boys that he took to neverland when growing into adults, they joined the pirates so after that happened whenever a lost boy got older, Peter would take them into jungle/forest to kill them

Someone asked what if Captain Hook is really the good guy? What if he only goes after Peter because he's trying to stop what he does.. Hook never goes after the kids.. Only Peter.. Something to think about

I find it weird that he just dates all the women from the same family and it’s ok. I’m a getting this wrong!

I might have been willing to give it a go if Young Wendy's wig wasn't so bad, but with that said, the visual completely halted my ability to "willingly suspend disbelief" to enjoy this film 😂

Louis partridge gives off the similar vibe that Robbie Kay did when he played Peter Pan in once upon a time, that kind of dark and chilling aura. Definitely portraying the creepier version than the one Disney portrayed

I grew up watching Peter Pan. I remembered borrowing the movie from Video City every Sunday. It was so perfect for my innocent young eyes. Now that I grew up, I've realized how creepy, dark and imperfect the concept of Peter Pan. I have watched a lot of dark sides of children fairytales, and I think even without it, I will still realize how dark and creepy the story is.

And this is exactly why I was never fond of Peter Pan even as a kid. Surely he has that boyish charm and adventurous spirit but him having side chicks from generation to generation from Wendy always seemed creepy to me. I hope this movie explores that creepy aspects.
