Squarebody Suburban’s tend to be overlooked. really love the design of em, especially toward the later model years. I got a 97 K1500 Suburban myself and I envy the Squarebody Suburban

My buddy works at an extremely rural fire department and they have a 74 2wd suburban with the 350 and 3 speed auto. It’s only got 60 something thousand miles on it which is baffling, so I’m waiting for it to go to surplus.

My Dad factory ordered a 1973 C10 Suburban....Lime green with woodgrain....picked it up in February 1973.

The main issue with it is that the body completely rusted apart.

The front rocker panels were completed rusted away by the time it was 5 years old, followed by big holes in the fenders above the wheel openings.

When they were new they were considered nothing special, really didn't see them until you got out to the country or the mountains. But out in the sticks they were perfectly in their element.

I saw one a couple years back that was a 73 or similar model with a vintage travel trailer at a campground in Maine. It was hands down the best looking sight at the campground. When you go from seeing that all the time as a kid, to hardly at all now... It really almost brought me to tears. Back when times were simple. And I don't mean for everyone, I mean for me. I was a child. I loved camping and big trucks. I still love both, but it's all changed now.

Squarebody Suburbans are cool in my opinion. Especially round-eye Suburbans.

That is one of the cleanest/most beautiful round-eye 'Burbs i've seen. LUV the colour on it, my Dad had a '76 C25 Camper Special in the same gold.

That's a good-looking suburban right there

The round headlight square body in my opinion was chevys best looking truck. I started driving on the farm in a 76 custom deluxe sb 400 4 barrel gas guzzling full time 4 wheel drive....the 3/4 wheel play in the steering was a skill itself to master. If you could keep that going straight down the road at 50-55 you truly were a wheel master 😂
I would gladly trade my chevys today for that one truck, a 99 k1500 silverado mud truck, an 04 tahoe and an 05 monte carlo straight up for that rusted out 76 chev...and I'd be one happy sob

I have 2 Suburbans (2005 & 2007). Nothing beats the older ones.

Love the 7th gen Suburbans. Been daily driving an 89 for a while now, and it's unreasonably comfortable to drive.

Why can’t they make them like that anymore? Those seats were so plush too! I would kill for another one of these 😭

My dad had an ‘85 Suburban with a a tailgate (not barn doors, so it was kind of rare), tan, and he swapped some ‘90s Chevy alloys on it.
